Welcome to the 80th year of the Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts! We hope that you will celebrate this prestigious milestone with us by participating in the festival in some way; either as a performer, an audience member or a volunteer! The 2022 Vocal, Piano and Instrumental competitions are now complete. The results are available on the Schedule and Results page. Next week we continue with both French and English Drama and Speech Arts competitions. We will post those results next week. We look forward to welcoming you to the Festival Highlights Concert next Thursday April 28 at 6:30pm at the Townshend Theatre.

April 4-5 – Vocal Festival
No Classes the week of April 11
April 19-20 – Piano Festival
April 21 – Instrumental Festival *** Changed
April 25 – Drama & Speech Arts (French) Festival
April 26 – Drama & Speech Arts (English) Festival
April 28 – Festival Highlights Concert.
Please note: All events hosted by the RRDFPA will be compliant with the applicable (“concerts and live shows, including performing arts events”) regulatory requirements under O.Reg.263/20 of the Reopening Ontario Act. As of Monday April 4:
– masks are recommended but are considered optional, performers will NOT be required to wear a mask to perform
– we will NOT be asking for proof of vaccination upon entry
– we will ask be asking all persons attending each session to self-screen and to observe “Social Distancing”
